This name APAC has a history. In 1972 the first APAC was founded with a Portuguese name with the initial letters:

A mando al (loving to)

P reso (prisoner)

A más (love)

C risto ( Christ)

Due to difficulties, two years later, Mario Ottoboni decided to change the name. He used the same initial letters, as a legal name for the government. Under this name, they have continued their services to "recuperandos".
